Definition: What Is Web 3.0-

In simple words, web 3.0 is the third generation of internet services for websites and applications that will concentrate on leveraging machine understanding of data to provide a data-driven and semantic web. Web 3.0 aims to put more control over web content in its users' hands. With Web 3.0, we won't need an account for each social platform. Only using one account, we could seamlessly move between platforms, browse for information, or even shop securely.

So why is web 3.0 relevant today what happened to web 1.0 and 2.0? The first wave of the internet was Web 1.0 which began in 1994 and ended around 2000. this is the first stage of the development of the www which was characterized by static websites the second phase of the internet is web 2.0 which refers to websites that integrate user-generated content and focus on UX web 2.0 focuses on the power of internet-connected server computers.

Web 3.0 Technologies-

 Web 3.0 is the next generation of the world wide web(www)technology. It will be the next phase of the web business growth based on interactive and socially connected web 2.0 websites and web 1.0 communication sites. Web 3.0 is an updated version of web 2.0 and is characterized by the creation of a virtual world on the internet through websites such as virtual shopping malls but will web 3.0 become the new reality experts say that at best for web3 enthusiasts the technology will work alongside web 2.0 rather than supplement it entirely, in other words, social media transactions and blockchain -based businesses can and will grow and flourish in the coming years. Nevertheless, according to scientist technologists, a complete rejection of Facebook, Twitter or Google is unlikely again.

Web 3.0 strives for openness and transparency just like the blockchain but the parallels don't end there blockchain as we know it aims to organize information into blocks and a cryptographic hash code to make them immutable and secure when web 3.0 becomes a reality the virtual world will have resources applications content and agreements that are available to everyone provided they have the cryptographic keys. Please share your thoughts in the comments section below but what if web 3.0 is just an overhyped fantasy web 3.0 skeptics won't take long for example- James grimelman a professor of law and technology at Cornell university raised his doubts he said that if part of the incentive is resistance to sharing personal data with big tech companies then blockchain is not the solution as it will make more data publicly available according to him the evolution of the internet has always been the gap between fragmentation and centralization when it turns too much in one direction the backlash tries to pull it in the opposite direction wrapping it up the move to web 3.0 and a fairer world in which people can get more out of their work can only be achieved with an influx of contributors developing web3 applications and users tokenizing their real intellectual assets what's your opinion about web 3.0 will it become part of our reality.
